The Beheaded Man

Dr Sudhansu Dash

It is because the head on the body
It needs sometimes a crown and sometimes a mask
Neither could you give me a word to earth my feet
Nor could I collect the trust to crown the head
I cut the head now.
I am entirely free from all burdens and obligations
Now I can move everywhere with my heart
None can know me, non can see me
Who has the so subtle an eye to see the heart?
Everyone is busy with the head
But,
Nothing remains unhurt here
The water is not unhurt in the river
The heart is not unhurt in love
That what remains unhurt is the unceased hurting

That what remains unhurt is the unceased hypocrisy.
